I'm a 28-year-old artist based in Helsinki. I draw my inspiration broadly from nature–its structures, movement and light. Observations of nature serve as a starting point, which then turns into abstract expression on paper. Organic forms, textures, and the interplay of light and shadow come together in my work to create compositions that exist on the boundary between figuration and abstraction. Alongside movement and organic forms my art is characterized by bold and intuitive use of color. CONNECTION TO NATURE Nature serves as a starting point for exploring both the outer world and my inner landscape. Observations, the emotions and mental images they provoke come together to create artworks through which I hope to inspire the viewer to explore nature with all their senses. CREATING THROUGH THE SOUL In my creative process the focus is on the movements within my soul - not the outcome. Attuning to my inner world and intuition, while quieting my inner critic are crucial parts of the process I call "creating through the soul".
